802.11ac USB Transceiver Works with All Apple Computers with USB Port
Wireless AC on a budget! The acNano can give your old Mac life again. Most older Macs are still good computers, and if the only reason you want to upgrade is for a better wireless band, then just get yourself an acNano – it’s far cheaper than a new computer.
To use, simply install our supplied software and then plug the acNano into any USB port on your Mac. Remember that your Mac will need to be running OS 10.4.x – 10.11.x. Your Mac will now be able to connect to any wireless access point, whether made by Apple or any other third party wireless access points.
These wireless networking adapters are unique in that they use the USB interface, so they can be installed on practically any Mac. They work with all 802.11/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi equipment including the Apple AirPort, AirPort Extreme and the latest 802.11ac version of the AirPort Extreme.
The acNano supports networks with 64/128-bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPS, and IEEE802.1x encryption.
