basically A will go twice as fast half as far. the main advantage to A is there are not as many a networks so there is. less interference
Q: Why won’t the QuickerTek unit work when I set the Base Station at 5.8ghz only?
A: Because until 10-2009 we had only one product that was 802.11a/b/g/n. We now offer a USB device that is dual band running 5.8ghz and 2.4ghz.

A: Well that would depend on what your network is 802.11b/g or 802.11n our “n” products are backward compatible which means that they can see and run on 802.11b/g/n networks. 802.11n is the standard now.

A: No, on most of our products~the USB devices only work for the computer that it is plugged into. But we do have a couple items that connect to the server end which would be the Apple Base Station’s which throws out a stronger signal coming from the Base Station. So that every computer in the household can receive a strong signal.

A: Antennas don’t amplify they just collect signals and if you have a lot of noise (interference) then it won’t help you.
Q: What do you mean by output power?
A: your airport card is about 30 milliwatts or 30 thousands of a watt.
just like light bulbs another example would be the 1watt transceiver which has 1000 milliwatts of output power.
