The Q5 Dual Band 802.11a/b/g/n USB network adapter is the fifth generation Quicky™, and is an improvement over the previous Quicky™ models. The Q5 works in both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz wireless modes, this 802.11a/b/g/n Dual Band unit has the theoretical limit of 144 megabits per second of 802.11n and 300 megabits per second of 802.11a (the Quicky™ and Quicky™ 2 models were 802.11b/g which ran 54 megabits per second). It also has a detachable 3 dBi antenna so that you can connect other antenna.
You can take it with you and use it anywhere you want better wireless. The antenna and transceiver boost your wireless RF power from a stock 30 milliwatts to 500 milliwatts, that's more than 16 times the wireless power!
That means you cannot only see more wireless networks, but when you decide to connect, you'll also get high speeds that make wireless networking as solid as being connected using a network cable.

Compatibility

The Q5 Dual Band 802.11a/b/g/n network adapter conforms to the wireless standards 802.11a/b/g/n, making it compatible with all networks and not exclusively AirPort networks. Supports 64/128-bit WEP, WPA2 (AES with IEEE 802.11x) and WPA(TKIP with IEEE 802.11x) wireless encryption.
