March 9, 2005, Wichita, Kansas --- QuickerTek announced today the 27dBm Plug and Play Transceiver is now available is compatible with the complete range of Apple AirPort Base Stations including the Graphite, AirPort Extreme with antenna port and Apple Base Station Extreme with the antenna port.
The 27dBm Plug and Play Transceiver does not require disassembly of the AirPort Base Station and resolves the range problem people have with Base Stations. This Transceiver adds 500mW of power to the Base Station.
The 27dbm Transceiver operates on all 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi systems. The Transceiver is Wi-Fi compliant, supporting both 802.11g and 802.11b. and works with both OS9.x and OS10.x systems. This product is designed especially for Apple's Airport Extreme wireless systems and allows the maximum power output allowed by the FCC. Apple wireless products have RF output of 30mW; our product is 500mW.
The kit comes with mounting brackets, adapter cable, wall mounted power supply and utility software CD. The product does not require any installation software.
